My client in the Slough, Berkshire area is looking for a motivated and qualified HGV Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) while you will have the opportunity to be trained to Level 3 in EV technology and gain your IRTEC Licence.
Benefits:
* Basic salary £50,000 OTE £60,000
* IRTEC License paid for by the company
* EV training to Level 3 funded by the company
* 25 days annual leave
* 5% company pension contribution
* Uncapped commission scheme
* Working shifts: 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm
Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair a variety of HGV problems using specialised tools and equipment
* Perform routine maintenance tasks on HGVs
* Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
* Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and answer questions
* Maintain a clean and organised work area
* Stay up-to-date on the latest HGV and EV technologies
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years experience as an HGV Technician (or relevant experience)
* Strong understanding of HGV mechanics and electrical systems
* Valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (HGV Class 1 preferred)
* Experience working on a variety of HGV makes and models (preferred)
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Willingness to learn and be trained in EV technology
