OVERVIEW:
•The Legal Professional will join the Fitness to Practise department to handle investigatory and preparatory work for the Council’s complex Fitness to Practise cases.
•Investigate and collect evidence on new complaints as outlined in the case plan, updating the process at all stages.
•Obtain witness statements from the complainant and other witnesses.
•Draft allegations based on the evidence gathered throughout the investigation.
•Respond promptly and accurately to communications with other parties.
•The appointed Investigator will have at least 2 years’ experience of handling their own caseload of fitness to practise investigations.
•Experience of managing complex investigations.
•Ability to travel in the UK as required.
•Hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days office attendance per week.
