Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience for students with diverse needs. Your support will help ensure that each student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students, including those with special educational needs, to aid their learning and personal development.
* Assist in the delivery of educational activities and lessons, working closely with teaching staff to implement lesson plans and learning strategies.
* Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging and supporting students, promoting their engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support to both students and teachers as needed.
* Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere conducive to learning.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting is essential.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Empathy and patience, with a genuine passion for supporting young people in their educational journey.
* Organisational skills and the capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A proactive attitude and a willingness to take initiative in a dynamic school environment.
