Job Description:
A Level History/Politics Teacher * Location: Joseph Wright Centre
* Job Type: Part-time (14.8 hours over Mon and Fri)
* Start Date: ASAP
* End Date: TBC (sickness cover)
* Required Education: Degree in History and PGCE or equivalent
We are seeking a dedicated A Level History/Politics Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis as sickness cover. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep knowledge of historical and political subjects, ready to inspire and educate our students at the Joseph Wright Centre.
Day-to-day of the role: * Deliver engaging and informative lessons in A Level History and Politics.
* Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that reflect the curriculum and learning objectives.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic development.
* Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and discussion.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the department’s success.
* Keep up-to-date with new educational resources and methods to enhance the learning experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Must hold a degree in History.
* PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
* Experience in teaching A Level History and/or Politics is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
