We have an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Tax Assistant to join our clients team in Tamworth. You will be assisting the team in the management and delivery of taxation services for their Owner Managed Business Client portfolio.
Duties will include:
As a Trainee Tax Assistant, you will be partnered with a ’training mentor’ who will support you with your on the job learning journey and introduce you to the world of tax. Full training will be given and for the right candidate and it is an opportunity to begin a prosperous career with excellent training and progression working for an award-winning firm.
You will learn:
* Preparation of self-assessment tax returns for review
* An introduction to Tax and the Tax system
* Liaise with HMRC to deal with queries
* Managing and updating workflow and tasks
* How to use variety of office and tax software programmes
* Understanding Business Structures and Finances
* Meeting and liaising with Clients
* Team Work and Time Management
* How to Value Relationships at work and in Business
What you will need to be;
* Punctual, presentable and with the ability to communicate.
* Be authentic in every situation and like to be connected to your team, clients and local communities
* Like to listen and understand, to show up every day with passion and to stand up for things that matter to you
* Be driven to succeed, take initiative and want results
Qualifications:
You will have 112 UCAS points from 3 A Levels (excluding General Studies) as well as GCSE Level 5 or above in English Language and Maths.
Our client is mindful of school/college leavers and graduates who may have extenuating circumstances and did not meet the minimum academic requirements.
