Residential Support Worker- Learning Disabilities

This Horizon home is situated in Rugeley and forms an essential part of our wider residential care network.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced team in a therapeutically informed home for children with complex social and emotional needs and learning disabilities.

Our unique SHINE (Supporting Healing In Nurturing Environments) Therapeutic Model will allow you to develop your practice using PACE and psychologically informed trauma-responsive approaches to care.

You will need to be open to working in a reflective manner and deliver relationship-based, person centred care as part of a small team. This will involve a combination of day, evening, night, weekend, and bank holiday working.

We offer the following competitive rates of pay:
- Starting at £12ph with the potential to earn up to £14.30ph based on experience and qualifications
- Additional Sleep in duties paid at £45 per night
- The opportunity to earn overtime enhancements

You will work in partnership with parents and other professionals and so you will need a good range of communication skills.

You must have the appropriate skills and experience to perform and work within an environment that can at times require using your own initiative.

You must hold or be already working towards or be willing to undertake and complete within 2 years of starting work at the home the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England). OR you should hold an equivalent qualification such as The NVQ 3 caring for children & young people and be prepared to complete any additional work to meet the required level.

A full UK driving licence and access to a car is needed for this role.
