We are currently recruiting for one of our trusted clients who are looking for a Buyer. Our client is a leading retailer of pet and horse supplies, offering a wide range of products, including medications, food, toys, and equipment. They provide top brands and their own line, ensuring excellent value and service for their customers.
Over the years, they have grown significantly, becoming a trusted name in veterinary supplies. They now employ over 100 staff members and serve thousands of customers each month, both domestically and internationally!
What You Can Expect
* Location - Bedford (Hybrid - 2 days a week onsite)
* Salary - £30,000 - £35,000
* Industry - Supply retailers
* Work Type - Permanent
Key Responsibilities as a Buyer
* Conduct market and pricing reviews
* Manage suppliers
* Ensure KPI’s relating to category performance are closely monitored
* Data analysis for performance and opportunities
* Execute and define a category strategy for the buying area
Core experience, Qualifications, and Skills
* At least 2-5 years’ experience as an experienced Buyer.
* Strong commercial experience with budget delivery and managing multiple KPIs.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Proven experience analysing complex data sets.
* Able to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
* Retail software experience.
* Online retail would be a huge advantage.
