Job Description:
Purchase Ledger Clerk * Job Type: Full-time, 100% office based initially with some hybrid after 2-4 weeks. 
* Location: Office-based in Redhill.
* Hourly rate: £14.36 per hour PAYE or £17.78 per hour via an umbrella company
* Length of assignment: 3 months initially.
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team. This role is crucial for maintaining financial accuracy and providing exceptional service. If you have a passion for finance and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you.
Day to Day of the role: * Match supplier invoices to authorised orders and process them accurately using Navision software.
* Reconcile supplier statements to monthly ledger balances and resolve any discrepancies.
* Assist in the preparation for periodic payment runs.
* Scan invoices and credit notes, and manage employee expenses.
* Communicate effectively with suppliers to address and resolve queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * GCSE Mathematics and English Language at grade C or equivalent.
* Practical knowledge of spreadsheets in Excel.
* Good verbal communication skills and a polite telephone manner.
* Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work flexibly, under pressure, and unsupervised.
* Trustworthy, with the ability to learn new skills and promote positive team working.
Desirable: * Working towards a recognised Accounting qualification.
* Understanding of the financial environment.
* Previous office environment experience.
* Written communication and time management skills.
* Ability to self-motivate and work to deadlines.
