As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day to day electrical and mechanical systems throughout two working sites. The right candidate will be a multi-skilled worker with experience working with steam systems and competent with HVAC.
* This role is ideal for maintenance people who value a great work life balance - the standard working hours are Mon-Fri, 8-4pm and only 6-8weeks per year of on call duty. In addition to this, to compensate for the weeks on call, the successful candidate will receive and additional £5000 per year on top of their salary.

Your main duties will include:
* Reactive, planned and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems in the buildings
* Supervise and work alongside external contractors
* Use the computer based Building Management System (BMS) as a diagnostic tool
* Ensure the optimal function of the steam boilers/ steam equipment on site
* Oversee apprentice training
What do we need from you?
* Full driving licence with access to own car
* Formal training and working knowledge of steam boilers and HVAC systems (BOAS certificate and Health and Safety accreditation desirable)
* Prior working knowledge of complex buildings and their mechanical/electrical systems (buildings with a scientific environment desirable)
* Knowledge of BMS systems and Smart technology (good Microsoft Office knowledge also beneficial)
* Strong communication skills and a team player
