HR Manager, South East Region
Part-time & Freelance / Self-employed, £40 per hour
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Freelance / Self-employed HR Manager to join a holdings company which owns portfolio of businesses committed to sustainability.
The Freelance / Self-employed HR Manager will play a vital role within the organisation by providing professional HR support and leadership to the Board of Directors and the acquired companies. You will have the opportunity to apply your individual knowledge and expertise to develop strategy and policies, enabling the company to continue its successful growth and development.
Hours & Pay for the Freelance / Self-employed HR Manager
• Part-time hours - 8 hours per week increasing over time as new companies join the group
• Remote working with sporadic office attendance at companies’ location
• £30 to £40 per hour
Main duties of the Freelance / Self-employed HR Manager
• Advise STAT management and acquired businesses on HR policies and procedures.
• Develop, revise, and standardize HR policies across all subsidiaries.
• Ensure HR programmes comply with established policies and procedures and UK employment laws/regulations.
• Conduct audits and work with company Directors to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Build relationships with company Directors and senior staff through regular contact and sporadic visits
• Assist with recruitment, provide HR documentation, and maintain secure, up-to-date HR data
• Collaborate with the holding company to develop a unified business culture across all businesses.
Key attributes of the Freelance / Self-employed HR Manager
• Proven working experience as an HR Manager or similar level
• Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice and the ability to apply this knowledge
• Educational background in HR and ideally CIPD qualified
• Flexible, adaptable, and responsive individual
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
• Driving licence and access to transport due to the location of businesses
• Ideally based in the South East of England
