About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Council Tax Assessment Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate assessment, billing, and collection of council tax. Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and maintain council tax records, including exemptions, discounts, and valuation bandings.
* Review and process applications for council tax reductions and exemptions.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to council tax accounts.
* Liaise with residents, property owners, and other stakeholders to provide accurate information and advice on council tax matters.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures related to council tax assessments.
* Collaborate with other departments to improve the efficiency of council tax collection processes.
