The Role:
Starting in September, this outstanding secondary school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves supporting students with various SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
*Provide targeted support to students with SEN, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving academic goals.
*Work closely with teachers to implement individualized learning plans and support strategies.
*Assist in the development and delivery of tailored lesson plans and learning resources.
*Support students in both 1:1 and small group settings, focusing on their specific needs and goals.
*Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
*Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers, students, and parents as needed.
*Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall development of SEN support within the school.
*Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
*A passion for working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
*A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
*Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
*Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are an advantage.
