Senior Cloud Engineer - Azure
Senior Cloud Engineer responsibility for designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and efficient Azure cloud infrastructure solutions. Working for an excellent MSP working in a client facing environment. They need an engineer who can build solutions from the ground up enhancing systems, performance, and stability.
This would suit an experienced engineer with a background and passion for Cloud Architecture / Infrastructure management / Continuous improvement and development / automation / security.
Experience with automation, strong scripting for automation, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, Python, Azure DevOps). Working to integrate IaaS and PaaS services to meet full customer requirements and deliver robust cloud solutions. You will oversee and manage complex Azure cloud deployments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and cost-efficiency with exp of Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, etc.).
You will continuously monitor and optimize cloud resource utilisation, implement a continuous improvement approach in cloud system development, working with internal teams to ensure changes are delivered with minimal risk to downtime.
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer) are preferred.
As part of the role you will be involved with monitoring cloud infrastructure performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot to ensure continuous uptime and resource optimisation. You must be proactive with strong communication skills to address potential performance bottlenecks and ensure cost-effective resource management. You will collaborate with development, operations, and IT teams to support and integrate cloud solutions and provide tech support for all cloud issues.
Designing and deploying Azure cloud systems with a security-first mindset, adhering to the highest security standards. Due to the nature of the projects security is at the forefront of the business, implementing and enforcing robust security policies for cloud. Collaborate closely with security teams to develop and enhance internal SIEM and SOAR solutions or experience implementing security protocols, SIEM, and SOAR solutions.
Working for an MSP on client facing customer projects you will need strong communication skills, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers understanding their needs.
Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.
