Job Description:
Techniche are supporting a leading automotive manufacturer to appoint an experienced Triage Engineer who will provide technical support for cloud-based issue analysis for their Connected Car Engineering team.
Pay Rate: up to £27p/hr PAYE+ holiday and pension pay
Location: Cranfield, Bedfordshire - hybrid (3 days working in the office; 2 days WFH)
Duration: 12 month rolling contract
Role Responsibilities:
* Lead Quality investigations for connected car Engineering team
* Provide technical support for cloud-based issue analysis.
* Utilise analytical tools to identify trends & triage concerns.
* Utilise & Enhance MS Azure OMS Queries to debug & Triage concerns.
* Extract logs from the cloud & coordinate with the supplier to fix the concern.
* Generate reports & share with the members locally & globally.
* Proficient in using ticket management tools like Jira
* Cross functional working with project quality, management, and engineering teams to ensure early response & transparency to concerns.
* Conduct Root cause investigation of complex concerns including the necessary stakeholders.
Background And Experience:
* Bachelor of Engineering degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
* Have relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic development relating to vehicle body electronics, navigation or telematics systems e.g. in aerospace, telecoms or similar.
* Have knowledge of the electrical architecture of modern vehicle electronics and experience of fault finding.
* Have a good awareness of Connected car system onboard (in vehicle) & offboard (cloud) side.
* Have a good understand network communications and cloud system.
* Good experience in Kusto Query is an advantage but not a must.
* Must be proficient in the ticket management tools.
* Be able to demonstrate and have practical experience in problem solving tools and techniques.
* Have good written and verbal communication skills.
* Competent with PC applications including advanced Microsoft excel and Microsoft power point.
