What you will do
As Senior Buyer your key responsibilities will be to manage and take ownership for the sourcing function for the Silent Aire site. The sites Senior Buyer will play a pivotal role in conjunction and working with category management in the strategic cost and supply management of all suppliers and materials to site. The site is part of a wider business unit and the Senior Buyer will interact on a cross business unit and represent his/her site in the wider business and all associated stakeholders. This role has substantial senior exposure and remit to business critical decision making and influence.
The Senior Buyer will be the driver of cross functional teams from R&D, Engineering and Supply Chain driving programs to structured Project Management techniques to ensure programs are delivered and on time.
How you will do it
More specifically, your main tasks will be:
* Strategic Sourcing and Cost Management of all Materials to Silent Aire site.
* Identify, lead and deliver cost reduction programs through cross functional teams.
* Life cycle management of suppliers.
* Identifying new suppliers, contracting and implementation.
* Drive NPI at suppliers in your category.
* Negotiating new / existing pricing agreements.
* Localize global agreements and implement.
* Cost control responsible for categories mechanical and engineering.
* Identify and lead / participate in continuous improvement projects.
What we look for
We imagine that you hold degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related area, and we expect that you carry solid technical experience within your categories. Alternatively, you could be an Engineer with suitable experience/education within Procurement. You also possess excellent knowledge of purchasing practices and applicable laws and regulations.
As a person, you are analytical, result-driven and accurate with a flair for influencing other people as well as negotiating with external relations. You thrive in a team-oriented environment and an international matrix organization, where you will experience a wide range of different stakeholders. As of such, you are able to communicate effortlessly in English – written and verbal.
Having worked in a category management orientated environment the Senior Buyer will be of substantial benefit, as the company operates in this manner, so a prior understanding of this type of structure would enable the successful candidate to hit the ground running.
