Job Description:
Halliday Marx have partnered with a Top50 practice who are looking to hire a Personal Tax Manager on a permanent basis.
This role has hybrid working. (3 days in the office, 2 from home)
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
* Manage all aspects of personal tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns.
* Provide bespoke tax planning and advisory services, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and residency and domicile issues.
* Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand services to existing clients and contribute to the growth of the practice through networking and developing new client relationships.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest tax legislation and HMRC guidelines, ensuring clients receive informed advice and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk management procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
* ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified (or equivalent), with significant experience in personal tax.
* Proven track record in a similar role, ideally within a top 50 accountancy firm or similar environment.
* Experience with inheritance, capital gains, trusts, partnerships and shares tax
* Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and experience with complex tax issues.
* Management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
