Technician – Plant & Heavy Machinery Technician
Location: Ipswich, UK | Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Days & Lates | Training Provided

We are seeking a dedicated Technician to work on a variety of plant and heavy machinery. Whether you’re an experienced mechanic or just starting your career, this is a fantastic opportunity to receive training, gain experience, and become part of a growing team in a busy, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities: * Inspect, service, and repair plant and heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, and other industrial equipment
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
* Ensure all equipment is maintained to high safety and performance standards
* Collaborate with the wider team to meet maintenance schedules and respond to breakdowns in a timely manner
* Maintain detailed records of work completed, including parts used and repair times
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working on-site
What We’re Looking For: * Previous experience working on heavy machinery or plant equipment is an advantage, but not essential – training is provided
* A solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A commitment to safety and following best practices at all times
* Willingness to work on a shift pattern of days and lates
