Well according to a report from LinkedIn there are 5 main reasons.
One was money, obviously. One was greater flexibility about where you work and when. The other three were all variations on "To learn and grow".
Their conclusion? "People who aren’t learning will leave".
And that sums things up for you. You don’t mind your job or your company. But what comes next? Where can your career go? Or is it "same old, same old"?
At this firm they want their staff to get better at what they do. It’s a core belief from the HR Director down that happy, empowered staff are the most productive and fulfilled. And to keep those individuals at the firm one thing they have to do well is ensure they learn and develop.
Here that might mean being the best possible administrator possible. Or it might mean taking your level 4 exams and moving into paraplanning. Longer term this is an acquisitive business with big plans, so as they grow so will the opportunities available to you.
Whichever route you take, you’ll be in an environment where what you want to achieve is important, not an inconvenience.
As for the job itself you’ll work alongside a paraplanner. Together you’ll support the financial planning team who manage a sizeable, high net worth client base. That means you’ll sharpen your technical skills and work on interesting cases from day one.
There’s a salary of up to £32,500 (there is some flexibility for the right people) plus:
* Company bonus scheme
* Hybrid working (3 days in the office)
* Workplace health scheme
* Support with exams
* Generous leave package + office shutdown between Christmas and New Year
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
You’ll have experience working for a financial planning firm in an administrative capacity. Ideally this will be for two years plus but there is some flexibility with this.
