Job Description:
Dunbar Education are currently recruiting for a Level 2 teaching assistant, who has experience with SEN to join one of our schools in Dudley. Do you have the skills, dedication, and experience to support students in a SEN school environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Role and Responsibilities As a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support the learning and development of students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
* Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver tailored learning activities.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
* Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
* Contribute to the overall well-being and social development of the students.
Requirements * Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
* Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
* Strong understanding of various SEN needs and strategies to support them.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
