Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Planning Coordinator to join our client’s dynamic team in Coventry. The Planning Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of logistics and supply chain processes. This role involves managing schedules, coordinating resources, and maintaining effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Resource Planning: Develop and manage detailed schedules for logistics and supply chain activities to ensure efficient resource utilization and timely service delivery.
* Coordination: Work closely with various departments, including operations, logistics, customer service, and IT, to ensure alignment and effective coordination of activities.
* Monitoring and Reporting: Track and oversee project progress, ensuring activities remain on schedule and within budget. Provide regular updates and reports to management on project status and resource allocation.
* Communication: Act as the primary contact for all planning-related inquiries, facilitating clear communication between team members, suppliers, and customers.
* Problem-Solving: Identify and address potential issues and bottlenecks in the planning process, developing solutions to ensure smooth operations.
* Data Management: Maintain accurate records of schedules, resources, and inventory levels to support decision-making and optimize planning efforts.
* Continuous Improvement: Analyze planning processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
Qualifications:
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with planning or scheduling software.
