Job Title: Postal Delivery Worker
Location: Bicester
Salary: £13.37p.h
Average shift length:
Hours: Between 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday with a day rest day during the week
Contract Type:
We are currently recruiting 5 X Postal Delivery Workers to work on a temporary assignment supporting Royal Mail at their Bicester Delivery Office.
You will be responsible for delivering both post and parcels to residential and commercial properties quickly and efficiently, you will be delivering post and parcels, carrying out deliveries on foot or via van, walking on a dedicated route which can be up to 10 miles per shift with completion required within a set timescale, whilst maintaining high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service. Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office.
The role is working 5 shifts per week which will include Saturdays, working between 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturdays.
Please be aware that as you may be required to drive a van and therefore you must have a valid UK driving licence and the ability to drive vans.
You will need to pass a security vetting process and have the following skills and experience:
*Hold a valid UK Driving Licence - with no more than 6 points for minor offences, No DR or IN endorsements, for insurance purposes (Driving licences must be registered to your current home address)
*Demonstrate excellent customers service and communication skills
*Upbeat and self-motivated
*Love of the outdoors, whatever the weather
*Good levels of fitness to meet demands of the role
*Excellent organisation skills whilst being extremely methodical
*Resilience and flexibility
*Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently whilst adhering to company procedures and regulations
*Have good knowledge of the Banbury area and surrounding villages
*Previous delivery experience would be an advantage
