Job Description:
Job Scope:
We are seeking to recruit for a dual registered service (Ofsted and CQC) a Deputy Manager who will support and manage our client’s young people’s service, providing care for individuals aged 8-18 with challenging behaviors. The Deputy Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of care while promoting independence and choice for young people. You will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with CQC and Ofsted regulations and fostering a safe and supportive environment. In this role, you will lead a team, motivating staff to deliver high-quality care and support.
The Deputy Manager will be responsible for managing budgets, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring effective use of home resources. You will liaise with external agencies to safeguard young people while maintaining professional relationships. Implementing quality assurance practices will be key to continuously improving service standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a meaningful service dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
Do you have?
*Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare preferred, or a relevant equivalent qualification (Level 5 Diploma preferred).
*At least two years of supervisory experience in a residential home environment, with a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.
*Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, demonstrating strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
*A child-centered approach, committed to providing high-quality care and promoting the well-being and development of young people.
*Sound knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety requirements within a residential childcare setting.
*A track record of working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to achieve shared goals.
