Norwich - hybrid working - travel to other UK sites

The Company
This state-of-the-art food production business are working with cutting edge equipment, technologies, and processes to deliver the best in class and most sustainable food to the global consumer market. They work with some of the leading UK retailers, distributers and suppliers across the UK and Europe and their facility is purpose built and a true modern engineering showcase and the next generation of food production process.
The Role
The Technical Manager will provide an efficient and effective quality assurance service for the sites, ensuring product safety, quality and compliance. This crucial technical and compliance lead will ensure codes of practice and food safety standards are met and always maintained.
You will lead the company’s compliance strategy, and create a robust quality assurance plan - which can subsequently be implemented at other sites. The Technical Manager will play a key role in achieving relevant accreditations such as BRC global standards, and lead regular audits.
The Person
You will be an experienced Technical Manager, with a background in high-care food processing environment, with exposure to barrier control.
Experience managing a large-scale technical process is necessary, as well as exposure to managing a small technical and quality function.
Ideally holding a degree or equivalent in relevant field, such as food science, nutrition or microbiological studies.
You will have previously taken a food processing business through a BRC audit, and have considerable experience dealing with the retailers.
