Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 8am- 5pm Monday to Friday (UK travel required)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE Plus Bonus & Benefits
Purpose of the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced, dynamic, results-driven Sales Manager to join their team, with a focus on selling temporary recruitmentservices to the public sector, this is a unique opportunity for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for driving new business, identifying new business channels/opportunities, managing and building a team of recruitmentsales professionals and customer service executives, whilst ensuring the delivery of outstanding recruitmentservice to clients through the account management teams .
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead innovation and service development across core services and new product development.
*Lead and manage the sales process for engaging with public sector employers, from initial contact through to closing the deal.
*Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the public sector, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
*Personally engage with key stakeholders and build strong, lasting relationships.
*Deliver on personal sales targets while setting and overseeing the sales targets for the team.
*Create and present persuasive presentations and proposals.
*Lead continuous process improvements, offering recommendations and implementing systems to boost team efficiency.
*Work closely with senior management, audit, marketing and finance teams to deliver value to public sector clients and drive revenue growth.
*Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales executives and account managers to achieve and exceed sales targets.
*Provide ongoing training, support, and development opportunities to ensure the team’s success.
*Guide the team in effectively applying sales methodologies and executing plans that consistently achieve targets, generate a strong pipeline, maintain forecast accuracy, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
*Work closely with account managers to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.
*Provide insights and feedback to the senior management team to inform business strategy.
*Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of local authorities.
*Analyse sales data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential new business opportunities.
*Prepare and present sales forecasts and budgets as required.
You will have proven experience in Solution Sales Management, ideally recruitment with a track record of selling into the public sector and have a strong understanding of Public Sector Procurement processes and the unique challenges of selling to Government Bodies.
You will have previously worked in fast-paced environments, displaying resilience and adaptability and have strong attention to detail with a commitment to finishing tasks.
This opportunity would suit an individual who is ready to embark on the next stage of the career with a view of working towards Director level.
