MS536 - Stable Hand 

Location: Tewkesbury 

Salary: £26,000 DOE + live in accommodation 

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Stable Hand on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Oversee the feeding, grooming and overall care of the horses to ensure their health and well-being.
*Develop and implement feeding schedules, vaccination protocols and deworming programs.
*Monitor horses for signs of illness or injury and arrange for veterinary care when necessary.
*Maintain and manage the stable facility, ensuring cleanliness, safety and functionality.
*Oversee the maintenance and repair of barns, stables, fences, arenas and other equestrian facilities.
*Manage supply inventory, including feed, bedding, tack and equipment.
*Develop and implement protocols for manure management, manure disposal and pasture rotation.
*Monitor and maintain the quality of the footing in riding areas.
Skills and Qualifications:

*Full UK Driving Licence.
*Extensive knowledge of horse care, nutrition, health and horsemanship.
*Experience in stable management or a related field, demonstrating leadership and organisational skills.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, staff and vendors.
*Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
*Knowledge of equine safety guidelines and regulations.
*Certification in equine management or related fields is an advantage.
