AJ Chambers are proud to be partnered with a top 30 firm of chartered accountants, who are seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their growing team.

What do the team do?
The team provides a mix of accounting services, including bookkeeping, forecasting, yearend accounts preparations and tax returns. They have a relationship centric approach and are trusted advisors to clients of all shapes and sizes, but they are typically owner managed businesses, giving you the opportunity to deal directly with the decision makers and to truly help shape the direction of their firm.
What will I be doing?
As an Accounts Semi Senior you will have ownership of the following tasks:
*Undertaking moderate to large accounts preparation assignments, including the accompanying tax computations.
*Preparing monthly management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate.
*Reviewing team members’ work and own work before passing to the senior on the job.
*Using initiative to resolve any client queries with minimal input from senior / manager.
*Training / mentoring more junior colleagues.
What experience do I need?
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, This firm value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, they would love to hear from you:
*Working towards ACA / ACCA part qualification (minimum criteria).
*Experience of working in an accountancy practice preparing sets of accounts (minimum criteria).
*Client facing experience.
*Up to date working knowledge of VAT.
*Experience of using Sage, Xero and QuickBooks Online.
