Lecturer in Aviation, Travel & Tourism *Location: Bournemouth
*Job Type: Full-time,
*Salary: £28 - £30 per hour
Join Bournemouth and Poole College as a Lecturer in Aviation, Travel & Tourism, where you will deliver high-quality and effective teaching and learning to students from Level 1-3 in Aviation, Travel & Tourism. This role is based at our vibrant Bournemouth Campus, within a department that includes Tourism, Sport, Uniformed Public Services, Business, Leadership and Management. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to join a team of expert practitioners dedicated to developing student potential and preparing them for progression or employment.
Day-to-day of the role: *Develop and deliver engaging and effective Aviation, Travel & Tourism courses.
*Utilise a variety of teaching and learning methods to ensure the best current practices are applied in all educational activities.
*Create an outstanding learning experience that leads to student progression or employment.
*Provide both academic and pastoral support to students, adhering to agreed procedures.
*Participate in the college’s appraisal process and undertake relevant training.
*Conduct scheduled teaching, manage student assignments, and provide tutorials.
*Support distance learning groups and prepare educational materials including schemes of work, lesson plans, and assignment schedules.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience in teaching Aviation, Travel & Tourism or related subjects.
*Strong ability to create and deliver comprehensive educational content.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
*Commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences and student support.
*Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing educational environments.
