An established and expanding accountancy practice in Warrington is looking for a motivated and experienced Client Manager / Accounts Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of clients. The Role:

As a Client Manager / Accounts Manager, you will oversee client relationships, ensuring their accounting needs are met with the highest standard of service. You will manage a team of accountants, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting and compliance, while offering strategic advice to help clients grow their businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
*Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact for all accounting and financial matters.
*Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns for clients.
*Reviewing and approving the work of junior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP.
*Providing clients with proactive advice on tax planning, business strategy, and financial performance.
*Managing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services.
*Conducting regular meetings with clients to discuss their financial performance and offering tailored advice.
*Supervising and mentoring a team of junior accountants and providing training and development support.
*Ensuring all deadlines are met for accounts, tax, and other filings.
*Assisting with business development activities, including onboarding new clients and participating in networking events.
*Monitoring client budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed efficiently and profitably.
Requirements:
*ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
*Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients, with a strong focus on client service.
*Solid knowledge of UK GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
*Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
*Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
*A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a passion for helping clients grow their businesses.
*Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
