Maintenance Coordinator
Newton Aycliffe
Permanent
Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00
To coordinate the delivery of safe, effective maintenance through management of risks, workflow, and the maintenance management system. Achievement of this will ensure asset integrity (safe, compliant, and reliable).
Coordination of maintenance routines & updates to SAP
React and adjust schedule according to changing plant priorities
Set daily and weekly priorities and report on performance against plan
Produce look-ahead reports for upcoming routines and planned maintenance activities for the year ahead
Update regular KPI’s to monitor maintenance performance and to drive improvement on key measures for asset integrity.
Accountable for execution of established contracts for repeat maintenance / services such as facility maintenance, inspections, etc as established by the Engineering Manager.
Coordinate external vendors and subcontractors to meet the schedule and provide relevant documentation prior to starting work (RAMS)
Coordinate work associated with site boundaries, interfaces, and shared services.
Audit and check SHE performance of regular contractors and feedback any issues
Identify any poor performance and seek support for commercial discussions with vendors / sub-contractors from the engineering manager.
Produce a weekly work schedule for the Maintenance Manager to execute
Chair weekly meetings to understand production priorities, and review schedule for the week ahead to coordinate Maintenance, Operations and Production Planning
Manage process for ’priority over plan’ work and adapt schedule according to changing priorities
Carry out job stepping by adding operations in SAP PMO’s using details provided by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor and Asset/Site Engineers
Keeping SAP notifications and Work orders managed, and minimise backlog
Drive monthly meetings to ensure these aspects are well managed, and report to the Maintenance Manager
Use SAP and the maintenance work process to gather worklists for planned outages
Compile schedules for planned outages
Lead outage / schedule review meetings
Support Maintenance Manager in the planning of outages to ensure successful delivery against plan.
Continuous development of Functional location structure and associated master data to assist with the management of maintenance work for the compounds business
Carry out changes, additions, and updates to SAP master data to provide better functionality to coordination and planning of all maintenance work
Understand the maintenance work process and ensure SAP is kept up to date in line with the process.
Ensure statutory work orders are categorised, prioritised, executed and reported correctly
Contribute information / reports from SAP history to identify reliability issues / improvement opportunities.
Requirements
5+ years experience in engineering / maintenance environment in manufacturing industry
Experience in maintenance planning and contractor management.
In depth working knowledge of SAP & Maintenance planning, Purchasing & Stores (both transactional and master data preferred)
Working knowledge of standard IT systems - MS Windows, Sharepoint , MS Excel
Good knowledge of maintenance methodology / workflow process
Ability to talk to vendors and subcontractors regarding EHS and work management issues.
