Job Description:

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our committed team as a Family Support Worker and help our service users in need.
About the role:

As a family support worker you will play a significant part in directing, advocating for, and providing emotional support to young adults and children. Your main responsibility will be to promote positive relationships with the young person, and to facilitate both healthy interpersonal abilities and effective communication. With a holistic approach, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored care plans and provide complete support in areas such as behaviour management, emotional well-being, education, and life skills for the young person.
Responsibilities:
. Establish positive relationship with teenagers
. Conducting Key work Sessions as a group or individually to support the young person with their emotional, social and behavioural needs.
. Offer guidance and skill building activities to enhance the young persons interpersonal skills and self esteem
. Assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic interventions and behavioural management strategies.
. Ensure you are collaborating with external agencies that are involved in the young persons care plan
. Must document and maintain accurate records of interactions, progress and any significant incidents that may occur with the young person
To apply for the role:

. Must have at least one years experience working with young adults and children within a residential settings or similar setting.
. Must have an accurate understanding of adolescents development, trauma informed care and evidence based interactions
. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to help establish rapport with teenagers and their families
. Ensure you have patience and resilience in managing challenging situations
. Ensure you keep up to date with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures in residential care
. Must have an enhanced DBS registered on the up date service or willing to process an Enhanced DBS through Prospero
. Must be able to provide 3 years professional references
