Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT systems, incident and change management, and proven experience in IT support. This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident and Change Management:Adhere to ITIL framework and best practices for managing incidents and changes.
- Problem Resolution:Liaise with internal teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
- Project Management: Manage or assist in IT projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer support and service, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally and promptly.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, business cases, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for various systems including Office365, VPN, Windows Desktop OS, SCCM, and print servers.
- Access Control & Security: Manage access control, ensure endpoint protection, and maintain security protocols.
- Hardware Management: Support hardware maintenance, especially HP/Dell systems.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient knowledge of the ITIL framework and incident/change management.
- Experience in a regulated and/or financial industry.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Office365 suite, VPN, Windows Desktop OS, and endpoint protection tools.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, App-Virtualization, and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in SCCM for application deployment.
- Knowledge of Wintel systems, print server technologies, and market data systems (e.g., Bloomberg).
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
- Good knowledge of hardware, particularly HP and Dell systems.
Desirable Experience:
- Knowledge of backup and restore procedures.
- Experience in automation for monitoring and management.
- Background in financial services or business application support.
Qualifications:
- ITIL certification preferred.
- Experience in IT support or a related field.
