Job Description:
This Global Banking group which focuses on Treasury (Foreign Exchange and Money Markets, Corporate Bond Investment, Treasury and Investment), Fund Finance and its Global Securities Lending Solutions business requires a Credit Analyst with C. 3 years Corporate Credit Analysis experience ,who also has fluent Japanese The role is responsible for overseeing administration within the FXMT department, ensuring that all documentation, reporting and compliance processes are correct. Together with supporting the smooth operation of the team by managing non-trading tasks related to FX operations and fostering cross-functional collaboration within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Draft Credit Applications
o Assess and interpret new and existing investment fund profiles provided by investors or fund managers.
o Gather essential information in accordance with credit guidelines, ensuring both accuracy and compliance.
o Prepare and submit comprehensive credit applications through the Head Office portal (in Japanese), ensuring all relevant information is thoroughly included.
o Utilise documents such as the "Supplemental Offering Memorandum" to collect and present key information, including investment objectives, policies, service provider details, and Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for the underlying fund.
Prepare documents to support Credit Applications and submit to the Credit Supervisory Office in the London office.
o Portfolio monitoring: Liaise with fund managers or cash managers to gather any additional data.
Coordinate legal documentation: work with the Legal department to arrange for the drafting of key agreements, including Hedge Service Agreements, Guarantee Letters, ISDA, and CSA agreements. Facilitate communication between Legal department, fund managers, and cash managers to ensure proper execution of all documents.
Submit KYC requests: ensure timely submission of KYC (Know Your Customer) requests to the Compliance Department through the internal system.
Enable account opening
o Initiate Account Requests: process account opening requests, including establishing FX credit and settlement limits in Calypso, by coordinating with the Data Control team to ensure timely and accurate setup.
Provide ad-hoc work supporting FX dealers.
o Generating Trade Confirmations: Use of excel templates to create accurate confirmations for trades executed by FX dealers, ensuring compliance with trading agreements.
o Monitoring FX Collateral: regularly assess and update collateral positions to maintain effective management and oversight of FX transactions.
Required Skills:
• In-depth familiarity with FX trading and operations.
• In-depth understanding of relevant financial regulations (e.g., Volcker, EMIR, MiFID II) and KYC requirements to ensure compliance in all processes.
• Ability to assess and interpret financial data and investment fund profiles. Ability to develop proficiency in developing internal credit ratings based on financial reports.
• Meticulous in ensuring accuracy and compliance when drafting credit applications, generating trade confirmations and monitoring collateral positions.
• Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with other financial software and databases used for credit assessments and trade processing.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and documentation effectively, ensuring timely processing of credit applications and account openings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with fund managers, cash managers, the Legal Department, and other stakeholders. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Proven ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Legal, and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of processes.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing regulations, market conditions, and organisational needs.
• Japanese language is a requirement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration with 2-5 years of experience in financial services, to include credit analysis, or related roles.
