SEND Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full-time 8:30am to 3:30pm
Available Positions: 2
Salary: £18,500 - £23,00 per annum

Main Responsibilities
*Support and Assistance - Support and assist both the SEN teacher and the students with special educational needs, working under the guidance and direction of the teacher.
*One-to-One Support - Work closely with individual students during classroom activities, while reinforcing instructions given by the teacher.
*Inclusion and Differentiation - Differentiate the learning materials and methods to meet the specific needs of each student.
*Behaviour Management - Assist with behaviour management strategies, helping students with special needs to remain on task and not become distracted.
*Communicate - Communicate with parents/guardians, providing updates on progress, and ensuring consistency between home and school environments.
Requirements
*Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
*Have a good understanding of different types of special educational needs.
*Be patient and empathise with the student.
*Be adaptable and flexible as certain situations might cause you to make changes with little notice.
*Be knowledgeable of safeguarding procedures in case any situations occur in the school that you’ll need to manage and deal with.
