Job Description:
Multiply are delighted to be engaged by an organisation who are looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join a dynamic team in Renfrewshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the finance function, working closely with the finance team to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations. The role is initially on a 6 month contract basis with possible extension or permanency for the right candidate.
The Role
As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the team with month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing invoices, payments, and expenses in a timely and accurate manner
*Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
*Managing petty cash and supporting cash flow management
*Supporting month-end processes, including preparation of financial reports
*Assisting with payroll preparation and pension contributions
*Maintaining and updating financial systems and databases
*Handling queries from suppliers, clients, and internal teams
*General administrative tasks to support the finance team
Requirements:
*Previous experience in a similar role
*Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
*Good IT skills, particularly in Excel and accounting software
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
*Proactive, well-organised, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
*Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
