Job Description:
Alternative Provision SEN Maths Teacher - Gloucester
We’re looking for an exceptional teacher with experience in working with students with Special Educational Needs, to work full in one of our SEN schools. Our setting is an alternative provision for primary aged pupils, so you’ll need experience with EBD, SEMH, Challenging behaviour, and other related challenges.
Our school is small, with only 5-10 pupils per class, teaching 4 classes daily. This means you’ll have a unique opportunity to build close relationships with your students and truly make a difference in their lives.
Our hours are usual 8:30am-3:30pm with minimal planning and marking required, so you’ll have the time and energy to focus on what you do best - teaching.
If you’re passionate about helping students with SEN to achieve their full potential and are committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, we want to hear from you. Apply today to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our students.
Requirements:
*Must have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour
*Hold relevant teaching qualifications and be fully qualified to teach in the UK
*Have excellent classroom management skills and be able to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
*Be passionate about teaching and committed to helping students with SEN to achieve their full potential
*Be flexible, adaptable, and willing to work in an alternative provision setting
*Have good communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
*Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
The pay is dependent and negotiable on experience. Candidates of all backgrounds welcome.
