Job Description:
Aspire People are a leading recruitment agency, proudly working with a network of primary schools across Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas. We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our client primary schools this coming term. As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with teachers to ensure that every student receives the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering lessons and managing the classroom in the absence of the class teacher.
* Assisting in the planning and preparation of lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Providing targeted support to students, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN) or those requiring additional help.
* Leading small group sessions and interventions to boost student progress.
* Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to assess and monitor student progress.
* Supporting with marking and assessment under the direction of the class teacher.
* Contributing to the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or similar role within a primary school setting.
* HLTA qualification or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and experience in supporting teaching and learning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Supportive and friendly team to guide you through the recruitment process.
