Job Description:
Semi Senior / Accounts Senior
Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Up to £35,000
Elevation Recruitment Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a growing practice in Rotherham, currently seeking an experienced Semi Senior to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage client bookkeeping efficiently
*Oversee and take ownership of your own portfolio of clients
*Prepare complex financial statements for companies
*Compile interim management accounts
*Complete personal tax returns
*Prepare accounts and returns for partnerships
*Review and submit quarterly VAT returns
*Handle VAT registrations and deregistration
*Attend client meetings, interacting with directors and business owners
*Handle company secretarial duties
*Work within set budgets to meet monthly targets
*Assist with other general accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Skills and Qualifications Required:
*Previous experience in an accounting practice
*Proficient in either Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks or Iris
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel
*Experience with Sage Business Cloud (advantageous)
*Attention to detail and strong time management skills
*Strong record-keeping skills
