Project Management Accountant - About the role
The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations within a project-focused environment. This position requires a deep understanding of financial management principles, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams to ensure financial objectives are met.
*Provide financial leadership and guidance on all aspects of project financial management.
*Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for construction projects.
*Analyse financial data to support decision-making processes and optimise project performance.
*Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment on financial strategies and objectives.
*Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
*Ensure that the projects are adhering to the budget with full awareness of the commercial and service levels agreements being met by sub-contractors
*You will be developing the financial controls within the project finance team to ensure that the objectives are being met

The successful Project Management Accountant will be / have:
*CIMA / ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
*Experience of working within either engineering, oil & gas, construction or engineering
*Proven experience in commercial finance management, preferably within the construction industry.
*Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
*Experience of working within a project forecasting environment
*Strong stakeholder and investor management skills
*Advanced Excel skills
