Job Description:
Page Personnel are recruiting for a permanent Finance Assistant on behalf of a well established business, based in Manchester City Centre.

Description
The key responsibilities of a Finance Assistant will include:
*Purchase ledger management: Post Invoices, match to POs, post payment runs, supplier statement recs
*Bank Reconciliation and dealing with refund requests
*Sales ledger and credit control management
*Management of the Prepayments and Accruals schedules
*Support the CFO in the management of the month end process, taking accounts up to TB level
*Ensuring General Ledger entries are accurate and the ledgers are well maintained (posting of journals)
*Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT report and payment
*Processing payroll, managing pension contributions, statutory deductions and respond to staff queries
*Supporting the CFO with ad-hoc queries and reports as required
*Support in the year end audit process
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
*A minimum of 2 years experience either in a transactional finance or accounts-based role
*Minimum qualification of AAT level 3 or degree within Accounting and Finance
*Working experience with Quickbooks accounting software - ESSENTIAL
*Strong understanding of financial processes
*Strong Excel skills
*Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks
Job Offer
*Salary of £28,000 - £35,000 based on experience
*Hybrid working - 3 days in the office in Manchester City Centre, 2 days WFH
*Study support towards ACCA or CIMA qualifications
*28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
*Fantastic mentorship opportunity working closely with the CFO.
