Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage portfolio spend (3-8% of turnover) with a focus on direct procurement.
*Negotiate supplier terms, pricing, and mitigate risks to ensure supply continuity.
*Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost-efficiency, quality, and delivery.
*Lead cost reduction initiatives and supplier performance management.
*Collaborate with commercial, supply chain, and R&D to align procurement with business needs.
*Provide market insights and category management to inform decisions.
*Oversee the contracting process from supplier selection to final negotiation.
*Manage supply chain risks and ensure timely innovation delivery.
Measures of Success:
*Financial: Oversee £30-50M spend with contract approval up to £1.5M.
*Operational: Effective supplier, SKU, and factory management.
*Tender portfolio requirements and negotiate to secure optimal pricing.
Competencies:
*Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
*Experience in driving cost reductions and maintaining quality.
*Ability to manage supplier relationships under pressure.
Qualifications:
*Expertise in supplier negotiation, risk management, procurement strategy, and category management.
*Proficient in SAP and financial forecasting.
*Strong market insight and direct procurement experience.
Package:
*Salary: £49,850 per annum
