Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Air/Sea Operations Co-ordinator for a niche sector Heathrow based Freight company based in Slough area.
This role will be an integral part of our freight logistics team. Responsible for aspects of air & sea freight exports and imports and help to develop our in house freight forwarding department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
*Coordinate and manage the full cycle of export and import shipments across multiple transport modes (air, sea).
*Completing MAWB & HAWB’s
*Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers, ensuring the best possible prices and service levels.
*Provide accurate quotations and pricing for shipments.
*Organise and arrange collections and deliveries
*Handle all necessary documentation for customs clearance, compliance, and shipment tracking.
*Liaise with clients, carriers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
*Arranging A-Z of export shipments globally
*Creating job file on in house system, keeping accurate and detailed records
*Develop effective relationships with customers and suppliers for an effective and efficient service and communicating with clients regarding their shipment progress
*Sending proof of exports/imports to clients
*Support and cover import processes
*Communicating with sales and operations team throughout the day
*Provide administration assistance to team
*Provide assistance throughout the business as and when required
*Answering phones
Experience/Skills required
*2+ years of experience in multimodal freight forwarding, with a focus on both export and imports
*Strong understanding of customs procedures and international shipping regulations.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
*Operational and sales (business development) experience is an advantage
*Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*ASM Sequioa and CDS knowledge
