Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Sewing Machine Operator to join a leading business communications company based in the Nottingham - Sutton in Ashfield. As the Sewing Machine Operator, you will be responsible for managing the operation of sewing machines in the Passbooks department, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety at all times.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Sewing Machine Operator will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Ensuring the correct job is on the machine, including code and version.
2. Monitoring and maintaining the quality of work produced, making adjustments as necessary.
3. Keeping the machine area in good order and completing all required documentation.
4. Reporting breakdowns or abnormalities immediately and ensuring preventative maintenance is carried out.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Sewing Machine Operator, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant qualification such as City and Guilds or equivalent apprenticeship, or a minimum of 2 years of experience within the print industry.
2. Proven industry experience in a similar role.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Health and Safety requirements.
£12.31 per hr, 37.5 hrs per week- day shift Monday-Friday
Please note that you must have previous Sewing Machine Operator experience within the print industry.
