Your new job working as an Account Executive will be working within one of the UK’s leading independent Lloyd’s brokers. Located in the city and throughout the UK, these brokers make it a priority to understand every detail of client’s businesses and work in partnerships to provide a complete service to their customers. The company offer unbiased access to the market and place cover with an established insurer network. They are a national business operating out of regional offices across the UK, acting internationally with global specialists. They offer innovative and intelligent risk advice and insurance programmed designed to confidently provide clients with a service to protect their risks. Due to growth within one of their niche divisions, a role has arisen for a Commercial Account Executive role to work as part of an established team.
Your new role
Your new role working as an Account Executive means you will promote and support the team internally and externally to clients, dealing with them from inception to completion with full client contact to include face to face meetings. You will also support the team on a portfolio of accounts dealing with new and renewal business, liaising extensively with the Insurance market. Preparing accurate preparation of presentations, claims files and report writing to both the market and clients and develop the teams account from existing client contacts and new introductions. Other duties will include building relationships with both clients and Underwriters by supporting the team with daily handling of accounts, visiting the clients, obtaining sufficient information before giving advice and ensuring all advice given meets clients’ requirements and reflects a fair analysis of the market with all suitable products considered. You will also mentor one of the current members of staff and assist other teams with any admin when required. Other duties will also include checking policy documents, ensuring accurate preparation of client registers and maintain good credit control within the team portfolio.
What you’ll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as an Account Executive with Commercial or Non Marine business handling Casualty, Property, PI, D&O, Med Mal etc will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will need be able to visit clients independently and handle accounts from inception to completion. A minimum of a Cert CII qualification is preferred. Also, you will have confident and effective telephone and PC skills including Microsoft Office, have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with both clients and colleagues and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
