Position Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Real Estate Solicitor with 0-2 years PQE to join a collaborative and supportive legal team in the Bury St Edmunds office. Reporting to the Head of Legal, the successful candidate will handle a variety of residential and commercial property matters, and assist with property aspects of probate work and tax planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of residential and commercial conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, leases, and property development
- Assist with property-related aspects of probate work and tax planning implementation
- Provide expert legal advice on property issues and conduct legal research
- Draft and review legal documents, such as contracts, leases, and transfer deeds
- Collaborate with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions
- Stay informed about changes in property law and regulations to ensure compliance
- Attend client meetings and negotiations as needed
- Promote real estate services through seminars, social media, and other business development activities
- Support other team members and departments on property-related queries
- Meet productivity, recoverability, and fee income targets
Requirements:
- Qualified Conveyancing Solicitor or Legal Executive (0-2 Years PQE)
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial property law
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage a caseload independently
- Membership with the Law Society of England and Wales
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
