As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work in specialist ASD or SEN schools in Wakefield, providing tailored support to meet each student’s unique needs, either one-on-one or in small groups.

Key Responsibilities:
*Offer support and understanding to students with ASD.
*Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive behaviour.
*Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
*Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support each student’s development.
*Show patience and understanding in challenging situations.

Requirements:
*Proven experience working with students with ASD in the UK.
*Strong understanding of de-escalation and calming techniques.
*A proactive and caring attitude.
*The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
