My client are experiencing exhilarating growth and presenting a fantastic opportunity for a talented Commercial Manager to join their dynamic team in Whiteley. In this pivotal role, you’ll be a vital member of the Commercial Team, providing essential support to the Head of Commercial by overseeing a small team of trading specialists.
Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive trading evaluations for their EU wholesale partners and ensuring the continual enhancement of profitable trading practices.
You’ll collaborate closely with our Marketing Manager and E-Commerce Manager, while also spearheading initiatives in commercial analytics and process optimisation. Join them in driving forward their ambitious objectives and shaping the future of their trading operations.
The Details:
Location - Fully office based in Whiteley, Hampshire
Hours - Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (no evenings, weekends or bank holidays!)
Holiday - 29 days per year PLUS additional leave for late starts, early finishes, long lunches, appointments
Your role will involve (but is not limited to):
*Maintain and refine profitable trading activity through analytics, process changes, deploying new metrics and team development
*Effective communication of commercial performance and relevant metrics to appropriate stakeholder
*Support the Head of Commercial to oversee and progress projects relating to commercial performance
*Lead and develop the skillset of the trading specialist team
*Analyse and forecast commercial activity including seasonal depreciation projection
*Co-ordinate marketing activity with the Marketing Manager
We are looking for someone who:
*Has at least 2 years experience in a similar role
*Has at least 2 years in successfully leading and managing a team, with a commitment to developing individuals within the team
*Has experience in buying and selling through arbitrage
*Has experience of B2C sales
*Has a clear understanding of financial measures of performance
*Is self-motivated and committed to drive performance and growth
*Strong Excel skills, in particular Pivot tables, VLOOKUP
*Works collaboratively with other leaders to achieve the business objectives
*Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and can adapt to the changing business requirements
