Job Description:
Due to further expansion and growth, our client is looking for an experienced Motor Underwriter to join their well-established team based in Tunbridge Wells. Our client will provide you with the necessary support and guidance to further your career within the underwriting market, developing your authority and profile within the industry.
Skills & Experience Required:
*Extensive Motor Underwriting experience, with a strong understanding and knowledge of personal lines products
*Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build successful, mutually beneficial relationships.
*A proactive approach to developing profitable broker relationships.
*IT Proficient, with an aptitude in MS Office software
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your tasks to gain maximum outcome.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
*Developing a strong understanding of company core motor insurance products
*Establishing positive working relations with Brokers, identifying and helping to manage performance, audit findings, and general practices of their Broker panel.
*Reviewing and providing feedback on Underwriting guidelines and acceptance criteria.
*Handling enquiries from Broker partners, providing guidance on general risk acceptance, bespoke quotes, and renewals.
*Analysing performance of schemes, brokers and product segments.
*Assisting with the development of colleagues within the team.
*Work with the Fraud Team to identify any fraud issues.
