Fantastic opportunity to join a high growth business, helping grow the inbound sales function and establish an outbound function in a fast paced, high volume transactional B2B sales environment.
Role
The new Sales Manager will play a crucial role in upskilling an inbound team, driving performance improvements whilst also looking to build an outbound function. This role requires a dynamic individual who can coach, mentor, and lead by example.
• Drive Conversion Rate: Train and develop the team to effectively close leads. Introduce and manage conversion rate KPIs.
• Training & Development: Create and implement a training and development programme that is fit for purpose for onboarding new hires and continuing the progress of existing members of the sales team.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Encourage the team to focus on value selling rather than just price. Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship, creating a high-margin and solution-based sales culture and mindset within the team.
• Recruitment and Development: Recruit and develop an outbound sales person. Coach and integrate them into the team, while also establishing an outbound function.
• Process Improvement: Confidently assess current processes, suggest improvements, and implement changes as needed.
• KPI Management: Implement and manage processes to meet key performance indicators.
• Dynamic Pricing: Contribute to and drive dynamic pricing strategies to increase prices where possible.
• Volume Targets: Ensure the team meets volume targets, focusing on orders above a certain price/profit threshold.
• Performance Review: Analyse performance stats and trends, report findings, and implement training and processes to address any issues.
• Urgency Training: Train the team to maintain a sense of urgency during calls.
• Account Management: Bring an account management approach to the team, fostering strong client relationships. Identifying and progressing key account opportunities from individual sales leads and developing the team to spot and act upon these opportunities.
Experience
*Proven experience in sales management and team leadership within a high-volume, fast-paced B2B sales environment.
*Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with previous exposure to implementing and developing training programmes for existing sales teams and for onboarding new sales hires.
*Experience of analysing and improving sales function systems and processes
*Experience in developing a team through a complete sales cycle.
*The ideal background for this role would sit between a retention team leader and someone with outbound sales experience.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Experience with dynamic pricing and KPI management.
*Ability to manage remote team members effectively.
*A charismatic and engaging personality.
