Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Location: Preston
Remuneration: Annual salary up to £33,000
Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract, 12 months
Contract Type: Full-time
Weekly shift pattern is on the following rotation:
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM
- 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join their team. Reporting directly to the Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing the quality control activities within the laboratory, working in collaboration with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
*Conducting analysis of finished products according to internal test methods and specifications, as well as those provided by external certification bodies.
*Handling materials manually, as required, with a maximum weight of 25Kg.
*Ensuring proper management of returned products, recycling where applicable and correctly disposing of materials where recycling is not possible.
*Communicating findings and data analysis effectively through presentations to internal colleagues, both locally and internationally.
*Operating laboratory equipment as outlined in laboratory SOPs/Test methods.
*Assisting with enquiries from internal stakeholders.
*Fulfilling ad hoc duties as requested by the Quality Control Manager.
*Performing analysis of incoming goods and raw materials.
*Accurately recording data in line with laboratory quality procedures.
*Identifying, addressing, and reporting non-conformities related to incoming goods and finished products.
*Regularly communicating internally in a clear and concise manner.
*Taking responsibility for organising workload, prioritising samples with minimal delay, and ensuring safety and accuracy.
*Conducting general cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment and the wider laboratory environment on a regular basis.
