Senior Private Sector Housing Officer - £44,428.00 to £49,498.00
Winchester City Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Private Sector Housing Officer to join our esteemed Strategic Housing Service. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute towards enhancing housing conditions across the district and making a tangible difference within the community. As our ideal candidate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and quality of private sector housing while actively engaging with the new duties outlined in the Renters Rights Bill.
Key Responsibilities:
*Managing housing standards and enforcement actions
*Regulation of Houses in Multiple Occupation
*Handling enquiries related to housing conditions
*Supporting energy efficiency initiatives
*Supporting the disabled facilities grants team when needed
*Inspection and Licensing of Mobile Home Parks
*Line management of 2 team members.
Qualifications:
*Prior experience in private sector housing preferable but not mandatory
*Genuine passion for improving housing standards
*Team player with strong communication skills.
